Accident in Turnberry.
Mr. Win. Clend nning met with a
bad accident while t work on the farm
of Mr. Andrew Mi chell in Turnberry,
on Saturday last. He was engaged in
drawing manure ith a team of horses
when the lines fell to the ground and in
endeavoring to r ach the lines Mr.
Clendenning fell f orn the wagon tongue
and was dragge a considerable dis-
tance. Three rib were broken and he
received several b d cuts on the body.

Very Successful Bazaar.
The handkerchi6f and apron bazaar
held in the Council Chamber on Thurs-
day afternoon and evening, under the
auspices of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the
Wingham Hospital was in every way a
success, The la ies went to consider-
able trouble alit their efforts were
amply regarded the excellent finan-
cial returns fro the bazaar. The
Council Chamber and Clerk's office
were beautifully d corated and booths
for the sale of al .st any article desir-
ed were in place it different parts of
the room. The la es of the Auxiliary
are to be heartily .ngratulated in thus
securing funds for he Hospital, which
is one of the best institutions in the
town. The return amounted to up-
wards of $180.00 ai the ladies of the
