Moved by Conn. Oampbell, seconded
by Count:. Scott, that the Olerk corres-
pond with onr local member, Mr. A. H.
Musgrove, urging him to give his as-
sistance to the bill now before the Leg-
islature whereby all iron bridges of 80
feet or over to be built in the future,
shall be Oounty bridges, the (Jaunty also
maintaining all bridges of that length
already constrnoted.—Carried.
On application a further extension of
time was given those parties interested
in the Toll Drain, to oome to some set-
tlement among themselves, it being ex-
pected that some satisfactory agreement
to all parties concerned will be arrived
at in the near fataro.
The Olerk was instructed to call for
tenders for the construction of concrete
piers and abutments, also steel super-
structures for river bridges. For Mar-
nooh bridge, a two span structure of 110
feet eaoh clear of abutments, both for a
14 and 16 foot roadway; for 10th line
bridge, a two span structure of 100 feet _
clear of abutments, also for both a 14
end 16 foot roadway. Tenders to be re-
ceived up to 1 o'olook on Tuesday, April
11th next.

kets—Reoeipts to -day were 50 loads.
with 776 head of cattle, 464 sheep and
Iambs, 400 hogs, and 326 calves.
The run was light, and the trade for
choice butcher cattle was correspond-
ingly active. There is, in fact, a soars•
ity of choice butoher, and anything in
the way of real fanoy light het fere is
eagerly sought after, A few in this
class picked out today, weighing in the
neighborhood of 1.000 pounds, :midst $6,
or about 10o higher than the best for ex-
port cattle in yesterday's market.
