pastor of the esleyan Methodist
Ohnroh in Wingha in 1879 and will be
remembered by our older readers. He

Canadian Order of Foresters of this

Death o Alex. Ard.
Thie week we re ord the death of Mr,
Alexauder Ard, v: - o passed away at his
home on Saturday evening last in his 34th
year, after a shalt illness. „ Deceased
took a heavy cold some ten days prior to
his death whioh 'teveloped into pneu-
monia. Mr. Ard was a young man held
in high esteem by a large circle of
friends and had b -•en a resident of Wing•
ham for some yea e, being employed at
the Western Fos ndry, Ho leaves a
widow, and two small children, who,
with the relatives will have the sym-
pathy of many fri 'ode. He was a mem-
ber of Court Maitl nd, Canadian Order
of Foresters and t e funeral on Tuesday
afternoon was and r the direction of the
members of the Or er and the religious
service was condno ed by Rev. Dr. Rut-
ledge.
