took on Monday afternoon, was
very largely attended. The services

year 1858, he, with his father, mother
and sisters came to the township of

time he became a prosperous farmer,

ouely, he with Mrs. McTavish, who pre-
deceased him last December, They re•
tired to this village a few years ago.

ship of Tnrnberry for nearly twenty-
nine padre. He was an elder in. the
Presbyterian Church, Wroxeter, for

fourteen years, also a teacher in the
Sabbath School, where he did most
faithful and earnest work. He was
held in the bightest esteem by both
old and young, wherever he was known
and truly a most lovable man has pas
sed to his great reward. Three sons,
John, oeentown, Seek„ James and
Alien or Tnrnberry, and one daughter,
,Airs. David Walker of Howiok; also
five sisters, Mrs. Dow of Gilbert Plains,
Mrs. MoEwan, Tnrnberry, Mrs. Hamil•
ton, Wingham, Mrs, MoEwan, Ohatham
and Miss McTavish, Wroxeter, mourn a
most devoted father and affectionate
brother. We extend our heartfelt ann.
