Mrs. McKinnon, one of the pioneer
residents of tlab 4th line, Calms, had
the misfortune on Monday of last week
to have her dwelling totally destroyed
by fire. Mrs. McKinnon who is a very
old woman, lived alone, and would
have lost everything were it not for the
timely arrival of a few neighbors who
saved most of the furniture. As the
roof was the first part to burn it is
thought the origin of the fire was a
defective ohimney.
