An Awful Fate,
Is there a man with, soul so dead,
Who never to himself has said:
I'll pay before I go to bed
The debt I owe the printer?
For there are some I know quite well
Who never such a tale can tell;
But they I fear will go to—well—
The place where there's no printer.
How To Improve Health.
No better way than to improve the
blood—eleanse and enrich it, give it
nourishment and strength, Tbis can
be quickly done by Dr, Hamilton's
Pills which have a vitalizing, purify-
ing effect that is unequalled in any
other medicine. With lots of pare
rich blood circulating to all parts of
the body, with snap and vin, running
through every vein and artery, robust
health is inevitable, No cleansing
building tonic is as good as Dr. Hamil-
ton's Pills, Sold by all dealers.
More Gold In Ontario.
.A new gold field has been discover-
ed, this time at the new town of
Matheson, which promises to make
the town a rival of the Silver City of
Cobalt, and each investigation only
serves to confirm the rumors which
are leaking out, of an area rich in the
yellow metal. The centro of the gold
discoveries is the townships of Gui-
bord, Munroe and Beatty, east of
Matheson. •Elere, 102 miles north of
Cobalt, a new gold kingdom would
seem to have been found, and the rush
to new Gow Ganoda of last year and
this promises to change into a rush to
Matheson.
Do You Belch Gas.
This is a disagi eeable result of food
fermentation that Nerviline stops at
once. Takq ten drops- of Nerviline in
sweetened water. The stomach • is
warmed and soothed, digested trou-
bles corrected, the rising of gas erases
and you are well. When. -such a sim-
ple remedy does so much it's foolish to
be, without it. For indigestion, sour
stomach, heartburn and sick headache
you'll find nothing half so efficient as.
Pelson's Nerviline. Get a 25c bottle
from your dealer to -day.
For Sale By Tender.
The sale of the provincial mine on
the Gillies limit, which comprises some
30 acres immediately south of the Nip-
issing mine and Cart Lake,'has been
decided on by the Ontario Govern-
ment. The other portions of the limit,
which have not been previously dis-
posed of, about 350 acres in extent,
will also be offered for sale at the same
time. These have been divided into
20 parcels. Surface prospecting has
been done on these. Public tenders
will be received for the purchase of
the properties up till Sept. 13. The
conditions of sale include the payment
of 10 per cent. royalty at the mouth
of the pit, which should. net a sub-
stantial revenue to the province.
A Child- Hangs Herself.
Clara Braithwaite, the 13 -year-old
daughter of G. J. Braithwaite, hotel-
keeper of Harrisburg Ont., was found
Wednesday last hanging by the neck
to a Ii Fab of an old tree in her' father's
orchard, near the G. T. R. embank-
ment, close to her father's home. A
strap was around her neck, and she
. had drawn her legs up so that she was
clear of the ground. It appears that
for some childish misdemeanor she
had received a whipping from her
stepmother in the morning. The pun-
ieh►nent• was very Light, but she brood -
i ed over it. She was around the
^'ti; lige in the afternoon in a very de-
spondent mood, She was buried be-
side her mother, who died six years
ago.
Vacation Defined.
The Detroit Free Press is out with
this original definition of a vacation;—
There is but one accurate definition
fur vacation. That is, vacation. It
still means to vacate." It means to get
out. It means to change your locality,
your routine of habit and thought and
work and worry and pleasure. If you
have been Working too hard with your
brain, work for two weeks with noth,
ing but your hands, If you live in the
city, go to the country, If you live
in the country, come to the city,
Change everything, from the time of
your breakfast to your underclothes,
Vacate your mind of everything,
The vacation of your pockets will be
attended to by those who are making
a business of supplying vacations.

Pass ioo Years.
Alex, M. Scott of London died last
week, at a little over 100•,years of age.
He was in good health up to the end..
The family record is a remarkable one,
Mr. Scott's father lived to be 107, and
of a family of six, the youngest to die
was at the age of 06. Three years ago
the last sister, Mrs. Murdock, died in
Scotland, aged 102 years and 10
months. He never knew what it was
to be seriously ill, and it was just a
giving out of all powers that brou•,ght
the end, He was around the house
and, garden almost till the last,.
Hay Fever Cured.
Nothing can be more certain than
the instant relief and surd cure of
Hay Fever by "Catarrhozone." The
well known Deputy Collector of In-
land Revenue at Sarnia, Mr. W. H.
Hicks, says :—"I used hundreds of
dollars worth of remedies but until I
tried Catarrhozone I never even ex-
perienced relief. It was on the re-
commendation of Mr. Geo. Ingersoll,
druggist, that I used Oatarrhozone.
He knew of others it had cured and
advised me strongly to try it. Catar-
rhozone worked marvels. Almost im-
mediately I experienced grateful relief
in a few hours. Catarrhozone per-
manently cured me of Hay Fever,
and I can most heartily recommend it
as the most speedily effective remedy
on the.market. It will cure any case
of Hay Fever ever known." °

Spring Suits, Overcoats,
Trousers, Etc.
Is the theme we bring to your notice at this'time. Some wise man
Fes said—"My son, get wisdom, and with all thy getting, get under-
standing."
nderstanding." The wise man to -day says --"Qat a New Suit or Over-
coat, and when you are getting, get it made to your order, in your
own town, where yon know what you are getting, and that it is
genuine Tailor-made." That would be wisdom; that would be un-
derstanding, Our NEW SPRING GOODS have arrived, and it is
not exaggerating to say that they include the nicest lines we have
had for some time, and at prices corresponding with the qualities
shown. Spade Will not allow us to go into details, but
WE HAVE THE GOODS
and can make them any style desired.. We are dealing in strong
statements, but will back them up. We have yet to find the style
of garments we cannot duplicate. Although plain, neat styles are
more in line with strictly high-class tailoring this season, it is for
you to name your style—WE WILL MASE IT.
OUR FURNISHING DEPARTMENT is filled with the newest
and best for Spring and Summer in all lines.
We have also added a first.olass line of Jewelry.
