While driving out from Wingham
a few days ago, your correspondent
was struck by the beauty of the scene
along the bank of the river Maitland.
The artistic blending of the heaps of
coal ashes, tannery refuse, tanner's
clippings and old tin cans, simply baf-
fles
des ri ti n Then the
high and
unprotected bank, along which the
roadway is built, lends a bit of danger
which will set your nerves tingling,
especially if a C. P. R, locomotive on
the other side0 f the street blows off
steam about the time your horse is
,opposite it, and your horse jumps over
on to the aforesaid artistic refuse
heaps. We hope this beauty spot will
be immortalized on picture post cards,
for the benefit of future generations.
