You may dislike taking medicine,
but coughs are best, cured without
medicine. The modern treatment is
"Catarrhozone"—it isn't a drug—it's a
healing vapor, full of pine essences
and healing balsams. It spreads over
1 he surfaces that are weak and sore
from coughing. Every spot that is
congested is healed, irritation is sooth-
ed away, phlegm and secretions are
cleaned out, and• ill symptoms of cold
and catarrh are cured. Nothing so

laid to Teeswater hounds, and whe-

In appointing Mr. S. J. Andrews
his election clerk, Returning Officer

turned off and though the machines
were still running they soon came to a
standstill and Miss Finch es( aped
without injury, but had the accident
taken place even a few minutes soon-
er the result would in all probability
have been serious.

Wilson Block, Winghatn,
THE ELECTION LAW.
The law as it now stands says that
any person is guilty of bribery and li-
able to a fine of $100, and imprison-
ment for six months, who gives or
promises money, employment, gift, or
loan to any voter for voting, or re-
fraining from voting. The same pen-
alties attach for the offence of accept-
ing or applying, either before or after
the election, for consideration for vot-
ing or zlefraining from voting. Can-
didates may not provide refreshments
at any public meeting, on pain of a
fine of $100. The same applies to
other persons, although refreshments
_pray be provided by the house. Treat-
ing makes a candidate or his agent
liable to a fine of $200. It is not a
sufficient defence that a person charg-
ed with the corrupt practice has been
in the habit of treating. Betting, in
order to influence an electron, is an
offence, as is also the hiring of con-
veyances by the candidate or bis
agents,'and the supplying of tranpor-
tation to the voters to the polls. Per-
sons providing conveyances for con-
sideration are also guilty of a eorrupt
act.
