Graoey Furniture Dealer and Practical Undertaker —We have heard of lightning ex- tracting teeth without causing pain and doing several freaks that might almost rank as miracles, so when the following report reached us from Car- gill we didn't grow dizzy with excite- ment, but just noted it down as a very ordinary occurrence. The report went on to say that lightning struck the chimney on John Clancy's residence and carne out of the stove -pipe hole, ripped one hundred yards of plaster from the ceilings of three rooms, bored a hole in the floor about the size of a man's first, entered the parlor, burn- ing a portion of the carpet, travelled out into the hall and rip the balister of the stairs and made its exit through one of the upper windows.
