Radiant Womanhood.
The glory and satisfaction of beauti-
ful womanhood can be known only to
those possessing the unlimited ad-
vantages of health. No weak woman
can be happy or enjoy half the plea-
sures of life. Pallid cheeks, sunken
eyes, exhausted nerves, all tell of a
terrible struggle to keep up. What
the weak woman needs is Ferrozone ;
it renews, restores and vitalizes in-
stantly -it's a "woman's remedy," --
that's why. Ferrozone makes women
strong, plump and healthful because
it contains lots of nutriment, the kind
that forms muscle, sinew, bone and
nerve. Vitalizing blood courses
through the body, awaking delightful
color, happy spirits, true womanly
strength. Fifty cents buys a box of
Ferrozone in any drug store.

Clinton,
Mr. J. G, Medd, who a few weeks
ago disposed of his business to 21r,
Whitely, has bought it back again
and took possession last Friday,
Timothy Titus Hewitt, aged 88
years, and for about six years au In-
mate, died at the House of Refuge, on
Monday. He came from Turnberry
originally,
Donald McInnis, who was recently
admitted to the House of Refuge from
Bayfield, suffering from gangrene in
his feet, as the result of their being
frozen, died on Tuesday.
After an illness of only a week's
duration Mrs. Geo, Nimens passed
away on Tuesday afternoon aged six-
ty-eight years. For thirty-five years
site had been a resident of Clinton,
She was a woman of true christian
character.
It is over twenty years since Mr.
W, J. Harland entered the choir of
the Ontario street church of which he
has ever since continued to be a mem-
ber, and has been a source of great
strength. He was recently presented
with a Settee, Armchair and Rocker,
in recognition of his services.
The executive of the Spring Fair
met on Tuesday and selected April
5th as the date of their first fair.
They also got started on the prize
list which will include horses and cat-
tle including fat stock. Prizes will al-
so be given for wheat, oats, peas and
barley which will be exhibited in the
town hall.
On Monday a meeting was held
here between the directors of the de-
funct Cold Storage Co. and some of
the shareholders who have not yet
met the claims that were made upon
them. The object of the meeting was
to try and effect a compromise where-
by an amicable settlement could be
reached. The directors were willing
to make some concession, but the
others did not regard it as sufficient to
jnstify then in accepting it, and the
result was that nothing was accom-
plished,
Valuable Advice To Mothers.
If your child comes in from play
coughing or showing evidences of
Grippe, Sore Throat, or sickness of
any kind, get out your bottle of Ner-
viline. Rub the chest and neck with
Nerviline, and give internal doses of
ten drops of Nerviline in sweeten-
ed water every two hours. This will
prevent any serious trouble. No lini-
ment or pain reliever equals Poison's
Nerviline, which has been the great
family reined f in Canada for the past
fifty years. Try a 25c bottle of Nervi -
line.
Alfred Beit, the South African min-
ing king, is said to be richer even than
Rockefeller. A rough estimate of his
wealth places it at one billion dollars.
His yearly income is $52,500,000, which
means that he gets $100 every minute
of his life, or to put it another way,
one million dollars per week.
Tho Bruce Mines Spectator says :-
"The marvellous advance in timber
prices of recent years is strikingly
illustrated in a deal which was closed
Saturday for the transfer of timber
berth 109, in the Georgian Bay dis-
trict. F. W. Gilchrist, of Alpena,
Mich., sold the timber to E. B. Foss,
of Bay City, for $450,000. The tract
contains upwards of 100,000,000 feet of
white pine. This identical tract was
in the market three years ago at
$200,000. In that short space of time
it has more than doubled in value.
Foss, it is said, will be able to drake a
handsome profit before he lets go of
the timber."
From $5 To $20,000.
It is said that in searching a drawer
in his barber shop recently, Frank
Wood of Syracuse, New York, dis-
covered a certificate for five shares of
stock of the Bell Telephone Company,
for which he paid $5 twenty-two
years ago, and which is now worth
between $10,000 and $20,000. The
great value of the certificate is clue in
a measure to the accumulation of
dividends. Communicating with Al-
bany, Mr. Wood found that the stock
was registered, and was issued by a,
Boston company.

ing in the machine shop, and got his

stantly,
-Thos. Jasper, a farmer of Carrick
township, had his hands badly frozen
a week ago last Friday, While driv-
ing home from Mildmay it is thought
he took a "fainting fit" and fell from
the sleigh. He was out all night and
all the time was not more than 40 rods
from his own place. The horses went
home and some of the members of the
family drove to Mildmay, only to
learn Mr. Jasper was with the team
when they started for home.
