A MEMORY SYSTEM
Forget the praise that falls to you
As soon as you have done it;
Forget the praise that falls to you
The moment you have won it;
Forget the slander that you hear
Before you can repeat it;
Forget each slight, each spite, each sneer,
Wherever you may meet it.
Remember every kindness done
To you whate'er its measure,
Remember praise by others won,
And pass it on with pleasure;
Remember every promise made
And keep it to the letter;
Remember those who lend you"aid,
And be a grateful debtor.
Remember all the happiness
That comes your way in living;
Forget each worry and distress,
Be hopeful and forgiving;
Remember good, remember truth,
Remmber Heaven's above you
And you will find, through age and youth,
True joys,and hearts to love you.
Big Fire At Goderich
On Tuesday night of last week fire,
which was discovered about 11 o'clock,
,caused $100,000 damage to the plant of
the National Shipbuilding Company', on
Maitland street. The flames were first
noticed in the boiler shop by trainmen,
and although a prompt response was
made by the fire department nothing
could be done but prevent adjoining
buildings from catching fire.
The building was of frame Construction,
and in addition to housing valuable
machines, two of them worth $40,000,
there was a quantity of flax straw. The
machine shop adjoining caught fire also,
but was ablaze, but not seriously. Poor
Pressure hampered flie firemen. The
cause of the fire is unknown. Mr. Hut.
chinson, jr., was the last person in the
building and left everything apparently
all right. There is about $75,M0 injur.
atice.
