more to be present. Almost every sub-
division in the riding was represented,
The spirit of harmony prevailed to tlae
fullest extent throughout the pro-
ceedings, and in every respect it was
one of the best conventions ever held
by the Liberals of West Huron. •
W. Prondfoot, K. 0, president of
the West Huron Liberal Association,
directed the proceedings and was re-
elected to the position which he has
'held for some years. Thera was ana-
able vacancy caused by the a,biierie of
W. Coats, who for many years held
the position of secretary -treasurer and
discharged its duties with zeal and
ability, but who now, as the" president
said, "has a more inerative_position,"-
that of County Registrar. Tim office
was divided and Chas. Gamow, ofGod-
erich, was elected as secretary, and
Joseph Bell, of Carlow, as treasurer.
