At the meeting of the Public school board held last week the salary of Principal ,Lough was increased to $900. It will not be questioned that Mr. Lough has been, a successhel tea- cher. Miss O'Neil receives $450 and is probably the best paid female Pub- lic school teacher in the comity. Miss Wilson's salary is $375. • Salaries will be basedin future up - Oa the following schedule which was adopted : "That the initial salary for second clasa teachers be $3oo and that the salary be increased $15 for second year, Sto for the third year and $5 additional oath year for the next five years, the maximuni eatery being fixed at $350 until a teacher has compkted 12 years of service when the salary is to be $375 for the next three years.
