MEETING ,OF TOWN COT.TNCIL,
Messrs. Forster and Snider of Col-
borne appeared before he town coun-
cil on Monday night •end requested
its 'co-operation in improving what is
known as the "Colborne Hill,"
Mr. Foster .said the hill ia in • a very
bad state end: is a great drawback to
the people of East t:olborne in reach-
ing market. Iit is impossible to take
full loads up tile hill. Either two
trips have to be made or two or more
farmers must go together and double
up. To make a, good job at least a
thousand dollars will be necessary of
which we expect tc get fe5oo from the
county council,
Mr. Snider said the hill is, probably
the worst on Any generally travelled
road in 'the county and should he
fixed. The coenty cc:emelt was ap-
Proached at the last session and in
effect seid, •ehow- us that the munici-
palities ' most concerned are prepared
to aid the work and we will do our
share. Goderich township council has
voted 3o0 on condition that Colborne
give 8200 which, Mt. Snider believes,
will be done at the next meeting. of
