Seareity of Cars, the Greatest Trouble Now:
It was no doubt a great inconvenience to the
public to receive in sueh small lots, but it would be
as g.keat a relief to US to be able to give a customer
• all he wants. Had we done so, the majority of people'
in town would have received no coal at all. This is
the reason we took the stand w6 did. • We have re-
eeived, since the strike, 400 tons. and haVe made,
nearly 2,000 deliveries, owing to the quantities being
so small, supplying in one day as many as 63 houses.
We did our best to relieve everybody when we could.
