Healthier homes need light, some clutter control MS — Home renovation projects are done for several different reasons, whether to update styles, repair damaged or broken items or to achieve more living space. More than ever before, homeowners are choosing improvement projects geared toward making their homes healthier. Establishing a healthy home means different things to different people. The daylily is now registered, meaning that whenever one is purchased, it further supports the organization. To date, the group has raised $1,000 through sales. A member also created a quilt that was the grand prize in a raffle held by the organization last summer. Other prizes included locally - created art and items from local shops. As for the future, the group plans eaut e to create a calendar featuring the vistas of Blyth to further fund the organization. Young -Bolen pointed to social media, especially Facebook, as a vehicle for broadcasting the group's presence and activities and encouraged anyone interested to search for the group there for more information. The Friends of the Village are also active on several other social media sites including Twitter and Instagram.
