Local couples Weddingnnouncement Photo by Darlene McCowan Oliver - Caldwell Our wedding day unfolded just as we imagined it would. We started the day together, and then didn't see each other again until the ceremony. The ceremony was in this same bush that this portrait (by our friend and amazing photographer Darlene McCowan) was taken in. We cleared a path amongst the trees leading into a small clearing where our immediate family and friends sat. I remember being so nervous. Being in the spotlight terrifies me (maybe that's why I like to be behind a camera on a wedding day!) so having our ceremony this close knit really helped to elevate the stress! After the ceremony and family photos we had a very informal afternoon reception with our extended family and friends. It was filled with laughter, seeing old and new friends and we loved having 3 solid hours of mingling and not having to leave our guests for photos. The both of us felt so relaxed and really enjoyed the whole day. It was a little unconventional but we wouldn't have had it any other way. Once 7pm came, we ended the afternoon reception and then had close to 2 hours for wedding party and couple portraits. This time holds some of our most favourite memories of the day. Taking time to reflect on the day we just had with our closest friends and being able to truly relax during our portraits was an amazing experience. - Alison & Adam Oliver 2U.edaling, announcement Photo by Alicia Riley Photography Caldwell - Searle Eric Stephen Caldwell and Haylee Lynne Searle exchanged marriage vows on October 14th, 2017. Standing at Eric's side was best man, Brandon Hakkers, friend of the groom. The groomsmen were Ben Caldwell, brother of the groom; Ty Searle, brother of the bride; and Calin Searle, brother of the bride. The reception was held at a cozy rustic venue in Cranbrook, with a barbeque meal catered by Brian and Sandra Garnet. The evening was filled with country music and dancing until 10:30 p.m. when guests of the wedding formed a sparkler send-off for the newlyweds. Following a family vacation to Disneyworld in Florida, the family have settled into their new home south of Bayfield.
