After :luncheon Messrs. Kennedy and

made the best catch of black bass ever
seen in Bayfield, their 21 fish weighing
47 pounds. Even Mr. Jowett said he
ikever saw a better catch. Mr. Ken-
nedy had the big black bass on exhis

The congregation of Wesley church
were favored at lest Sunday evening's

Next Monday will be Clinton's civic
holiday so all places of business will
be closed. The G. T. R. will issue re-
duced rate tickets over all points on
its lines extending from Saturday to
Tuesday.
A WHITE LILY.
. On the lawn of Mrs. Williain Taylor•
may be seen a white lily carrying 225
or more flowers and buds, It has been
plented, there for five years and has
not flowered before. Mrs. Taylor
will be pleased if anyone can properly
name it.
GETTING- BETTER.
On Monday afternoon Percy Couch
was nrostreted by the ailment...from
which he was critically ill a few weeks
ago and on Tuesday an operation was
performed upon lute by two of our
surgeons. He is now getting on as
well as could be expected: •

The work on the two storey. exten-
sion to the.Gunn hospital is now be-
ing pushed. &head, Mr. Hiram Hill has
the contract which is a . guarantee
that the .work will be finished up in
good style.. This -addition will add to
the efficiency of the hospital to which
patients now come from all parts of
