A quiet wedding took place on Wednes-
day, April 16, 1930, at 3 o'clock at the
Dulled Church parsonage, Kirleton, when
Ella M.. second da. ghter of the late Mr.
and Mrs. Nassau C. Switz r, became the
bride of J hn M. Craig, of Blyth, Rev. T
A. Be 1 officiating. The bride was be•
cerningly gowned in a white silk crepe
dress, black coat trimmed with grey
squirrel and black hat, and corsage boo
quet of Ophelia rotes and lilies of the val-
ley Mr. and Mrs. Craig were atte ded
be ti e groom's brother and the bride's
sister, Mr. David A. Craig and Miss Iva
51. Switzer. After the ceremony the
p:+ ty returned to the hone of Mrs. lYill
-nham, si ter of he bride, where a
chanty wedding dinner was served t only
the immediate relatives of the bride and
g corn. No other guests were present
tieing to the recent double bereavement
in the bride's- horse. Later Mr, and Mr.
Craig left tor their future home on the
groom's farm near Blyth.

Mrs. Chas, Wheeler, of Belgrave, is
very ill with pneumonia,
Donald Young visited his parents, .las,
and Mrs, Young, Belgrave, over the week
end,
Mrs, John Nethery, Belgrave, is very
ill at present, Her many friends hope
for a speedy recovery.
John and Mrs. Bowman, 3rd line, are
rejoicing in the birth of twin babies, boy
and girl. They will not be able to cele-
brate the same birthday either as one was
horn Wednesday night and the other on
Thursday me rning.
Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Scrimgeour and
Lenity were visitors with their daughter,
Mrs Jack Cameron, Windsor, during the
v k.
Mrs. Blan. Herrington is attending the
Provincial W. M. S. convention in Tor-
onto this week, as delegate from Huron
Presbyterial.
There will be a public meeting in Mem-
orial Hall, on Thursday evening, May 1.

There passed away in Hepworth on
Tuesday. April 15th, Grace Barrick Mc-
Elroy in her 9lnd year. Mrs. McElroy
was a resident of Blyth for a number of
years and was an aunt of Mr. W. H, Mc-
Elroy. Since leaving Blyth she resided
with her son, Mr, John Barrick, of Hep-
weeth.
The regular weekl meeting of the Y. P
S. met in St. Andrew's United Church
easement on Morday evening, with Miss
Ruth Barnby presiding. After the devot-
iooal exercises Mr. A. T. Cooper, of Clin-
ton, addressed the meeting on -Temper-
:awe" bringing very forcibly this greet
gnestion "Are we, as a young peop-
le's group going to allow this curse to ruin
our land and blight our lives? Certainly
ii is up to the young people of today to
s+rike and strike hard to banish this curse

and the cartage to deliver the crushed
