Westervelt is seem. tory, since the new year opened, some $25,o00 worth of Itve stock and orders are now in for $zo,00c. worth of stock- ers in addition to this. Last year, when this trade was thought to have reached considera.ble ditnensions, the total amount of stock snipped from Ontario under the auspices of these associations was fifty thousand dol- lars. For the first four months of this ybar, therefore; the shipments will equal those of the whole of 190r. ' On Wednesday last one car. of breed- ing stock was shipped to the West under the direction of these associa- tions. This shipment consisted of three Clyde stallions, one Shire stal- liori,two Clyde mares, seven. Jerseys, one Ayrshire, three Shorthorn bulls, six Sliorthorn heifers, one Shorthorn cow and calf, and three Tam boars.
