pices of the Live Stock Associations
of which A, P. Westervelt is seem.
tory, since the new year opened, some
$25,o00 worth of Itve stock and orders
are now in for $zo,00c. worth of stock-
ers in addition to this. Last year,
when this trade was thought to have
reached considera.ble ditnensions, the
total amount of stock snipped from
Ontario under the auspices of these
associations was fifty thousand dol-
lars. For the first four months of
this ybar, therefore; the shipments
will equal those of the whole of 190r.
' On Wednesday last one car. of breed-
ing stock was shipped to the West
under the direction of these associa-
tions. This shipment consisted of
three Clyde stallions, one Shire stal-
liori,two Clyde mares, seven. Jerseys,
one Ayrshire, three Shorthorn bulls,
six Sliorthorn heifers, one Shorthorn
cow and calf, and three Tam boars.
On Monday next another car will
leave for .rrince Edward Island, The
ehipment in this ease will consist of
tavo Clyde stallions, three Shorthorn
bulls, six Yorkshire sows, ten boars,
four yearling Ayrshire bulls, one two-
year-old 'Ayrshire. bull and five Ayr -
O shire eqws and calves. In addition to
this there will be sent to Nova Scot-
ia at the sante time two Ayrshire
cows, tWo Ayrshire bulls and two
Shorthorn balls 'and heifers.

inent •consisting of ninety -hogs foa
breeding purposes will be sent 'to the
Mormon settlement near . Lethbridge.
