ling, of the 4th con., was the scene of a
very pretty wedding on Wednesday,
Sept 24th,it being the marriage of their
daughter, Sarah M., to Sohn H. Craw-
ford, of Sault Ste Marie, Mich, Rev
John McNeil, of Hayfield, was the of-
ficiating minister. and the couple were
unattended, the ceremony being wit-
nessed by only immediate relatives
of the conteactmg parties. They re-
mained at the bride's home until Sat-
urday, when they left amidst the well

his youngest daughter, arah A., was
united in the holy bonds of matrimony
to Geo A, Donnie, of London. At high

have been manifested by any gathering

day. Several new events had been in•
roduced, and the ladies were brought
more into prominence than hitherto,
and greater enjoyment was taken out
of those events in which the ladies par-
ticipated, and showed a great deal of
physical development as well as men-
tal. The most amusing event of the
day was that of the"graceful walkinv"

ultimate cause of her death, on Mon-
day last, from ureamic convulsions.

'Pretno.-On Saturday last the annual
picnic of St. John's church Sunday
School,was held at Bayfield Jowett's
grove. The day was all that could be
desired, and there was a good turnout,
both of children and adults and all en-
joyed themselves to the utmost. A edit
out on the steam tug, was enjoyed by
all and every one spoke in glowing
terms of the gentlemanly crew, and es-
pecially were delighted with the music
of the bagpipes by one of the crew on

PALL FAIR. -The annual fall fair
was held on Friday last. The day was
fine, though Cloudy, and a wood crowd
was in attendance. The show ot horses
Was excellent, and a new feature in
connection therewith Wee the presence
of three government judges, who did
all the work in this connection, and
who publicly me reasons for their
decisions. This was the first fair in
this locality to have the experiment of
Independent judges tried, and it was
certainly a emcees. In other depart -
mento the fair was about as usual.
