the horse getting its foot over the
halter strap and choking itself. He

brook, which is to take place on the

A NEW TONSORIAL VARLort.-
Geo Cooper,. who for the •past eleven
years' has been the able assistant in the
barber shop formerly owned by J. Ern-
merton and now by Mr Munro,has sev-
ered his connection with that business,
and *ill start one for himself in the old
stand in the Clarendon hotel, He is
well known its an experienced work-
man and will likely pick up a shoe ofF
the patronage.
TRANSFERS. -The follOwing notices
of transfer ot licenses have been receiv-
ed by Inspector Paisley during the past
week: -Geo Buxton, of the Colborne
home, Goderich, sold out to Alex: Rob.'
futon. of Auburn ; Sas McDonald, of
the Kintail house, sold out to Neil Mc-'
Douala, of Kintail; and Alex Robinson,
of the Auburn house, sold.out to Harry
McBrien, of Auburn. The changes

the position that he held in Wingham

the Leagues of the Wesley -church gave
