About two years ago the illness, to Which he finally succumbed,' made its appearance, which seemed to be an af- fection of the nerve centres of the brain. His end came very quietly, be- ing hastened by a stroke of paraiysie. He was a native of the Orkney Islands and came to Canada fifty years ago, buthats yieited his native land several tinges.
