Oulneas art very like wild birds in baits
and it is tit eight that it is impossible to
tame them but this is not the case. On
a farm where they have a wide range
guineas can be raised to advantage. They ,

Young guineas are susceptible to cold,
and we do not set any egg* until the
first of June, and have them coming off
tiOul the first of July until the middle
of Augast. Those taken off later will
not get grown before cold weather, but
will make nice broilers to use in the
fall. We set the eggs under an ordinary
hen and ratio them with the Chickens;
keep them, fastened in it coop with the
hen for several days, until they get used
to the ben; then turn them out to
forage -in the day but shut them up at
night. We give them the same kind ot
