A glance over the register at the
Pan-American at Buffalo shows the
following appreciative remarks that
have been written there by citizens
of the United States: "Canada is
all right." "Very good.".. "Splen-

grand." "Congratulations to Can-

"Sorry that I am not a Canadian."
"Neatest and one of the most artis

"Good luck to John Bull." "De-

The Ontario Fruit Exhibit is as

The Ontario exhibit always looks
so fresh and inviting; Perhaps the
reason is because it is alwara taste-

This noted institution of business
training will re -open for its 26th ,year
on Tuesday, Sept. 3rd,
We feel that its works requires ne
special commendation from us, as it is
one of the pioneer institutions in the
line of c)mmercial training in Canada,
and is doing a class -of work that has
won for itself the; confidence of the
business public.
The proprietors, Messrs. I. Mc-
Laughlin (it. Co., may justlyfeel proud.
of the repul,e.tion of their excellent
school ; and the best evidence of the
hold which it has secured on the busi-
ness community is found in a small
pamphlet, which this school issues an.
nually, showing where pupils have se-
cured positions during the year. The
one just to hand for last vear shows
results of a most encouraging charac-
ter. 304 of their pupils secured good
positions in business offices as steno.
graphers and bookkeepers, or as teach-
ers of commercial subjects in other
colleges . during the twelve months
ending June 30, 001.
