600 head of butchers' cattle, 100 calves and
300 sheep and lambs offered for oak et the
Boa End Abattoir to day. The butchers
were present in large numbers' and there
WAS a good demand for the best cattle, but
the common stook, especially the leaner
ones, were neglected and difficult of sale.
The beat cattle sold at from 410 to So per
lb, pretty good stook from 310 to 41e per lb,
rough half fatted beaets at from 3o to 3ie
and the leaner beef critters at from 2io to
3o per Ib. Mr George Nicholson bought
18 good -cattle at 410 per lb. Calves sold
et front $2 to $12 each. Shippers paid 3io
per lb for good large sheep and the
butchers paid about 3o per lb for the rest.
Lambs sold at from 82.75 to $4.60 each.
