was slow at the time it reached the Brit-
ish merkets was that large quantities of
• New •Zealenti butter were arriving, and
the markets broke under the weight of
the offerings, The Canadian butter
mention, d was reshipped and on arriv-
ing at Montreal the'roronto firm, after
Irving the two freights ou the goods,
were able to sell it at a clear profit of a
dollar a tub. Cheese factories are busy
making butter in many distriots and
they will, with the regular butter factor-
ies, doubttess soon be able to increase,
• the supply and bring it more in line
it the demand.

cert the town council committee has re-
mitted" 11 (21) to the treasurer of the
Fund. • In aldilion to this, the efforts
of tbe ladies of Wingliatu on behalf of
the Red Cross Fond were highly suc-

27th they- have conaiderably supple-
mented the receipts on that night by
the sale of souvenir programs and the
amount now available for Red Cross
