The ladies have °been a little timid about patronizing it, but are now be- ginning to do so. •The paper racks and magazine stands are the ingenious device of Librarian Bean, who, by the way, has neen re -appointed. The read- ing public are ender an obligation to Barrister Brydone and Mr, W.E. Rand, mathematical master at the collegiate institute, for the interest they have taken in the library during the past two or three years. Davis of Boissevain, Mani. toba, and son of our worthy citizen; Mr. S. Davis, has sent us a, copy of the Boissevain Recorder which contains a write-up of the public' school of that town a,nd from which we leaen that three of the five members of the staff are graduates of the schools of Clinton.
