On Tuesday of this week at Sea_ forth, the first annual convention of Centre Huron was held and a full delegation was there from the rid- ing. Wtn. Sinclair, of Brussels, presi- dent pro tent, called the meeting to order and a new constitution and by-laws wore read and passed, Robt. Holmes, of Clinton, acting as secre- tary. Letters were read from Al, G. Cameron and Al, Y. McLean, M. P., Ottawa. The officers elected were !'resident, Wm. Sinclair, 1st vice, Dr. Shaw, Al, D. Sud vise, AI. Murdie, 3rd vice, 11. Maris. Secretary, J, L. Killoran, Treasurer, James Bell, The chairmen for the municipali- ties were appointed as follows : Colborne, A. Young. Mullett, James !Vett, McKillop, J. McDowell, Grey, Jit Ines McTaggart, Goderich; G. G. Blair. Seaforth, S. Hays, Clinton, Dr. Shitty, Brussels, Dr, Warwick. The chairmen of the sub -divisions were left the same as in the former ridings, The important order of the busi- ness was the selecting of arcandi- date, and the nominations brought out four names %V, H.
