1900. My Dear Sir, --Your telegram an-
nouncing the sad news of the death of
dear Berereceived. Please accept our
heart-foltkmpathy. While it was not
so great a eurprise, we had hoped and
prayed for. better news. He was a good
boy and had endeared himself to a host
of new friends. Personally 1 have found
him straliptforward, hottest and reli-
able and have placed more confidences
in him and trusted him more implicitly
than any clerk I have ever employed.

Mr Carpenter, Mr Heart and others

Very shiCerely, C.H.Chumar. The fun-

and very impressive,the remains being
precededby the band, and the Canadian
and Independent Order of Foresters,
he being a member of the latter society.
All stores and business places closed as
a mark of respect during the funeral
hour. Bert's mother, sister and bro-
