Tamelyn at her late horne, con. 12, on
Wednesday, Feb, 28, at the good old
`age of 70 years and 5 months. ,Mrs
Tamblyn, with her husband, was oho
of the earliest settlers in this township
' having come in the year 1874. The
deceased was a. native of Devonshire,
England, and cause to Canada when
Only 11 years of age, residing first is
Hope tnwnehip. Durham Co., where
she was married in 1851 toher husband,
who survives her, and •where they
lived until the .spring of 1874, then re
moving to the present homestead. B
this marriage there were nine children
born to them, of whom four sons and
two daughters are lett with their fath-
er to mourn, Frank is in Nelson, B.
John W. on the homestead, Thos.
J. in Manitoba, Wellington N. in Hul-
lett, Mrs Jas. Snell in Blyth, and Mise
Mary at home; and all were home ex-

so long a resident , in 'this comerranity,
she was widely known,.' and her many
. friends will indeed miss her, as she
was a kind neighbor, and was genial,
companionable e,nd hospitable. She
was a strict and faithful Methodiet.
The funeral was very largely attended,
the • remains being interred in the
Union :cemetery, Rev Mr Coupland of-
ficiating at the burial. Their many
friends sympathize in this bereavement
with the husband and family,' in the
loss of a loving wife and kind mother.

Mr Beacom's renting his farm on ac-

intends making his permanent abode
in Clinton, and no doubt the Ulinton
people will find him to. be a good citi-
zen. •

event took plate on Wednesday even-
ing, Mar 7th,at the residence of Mr
Jas, Richardson, 12th .con.. • Goderich
township, when his daughter,Flor, once

rimony to Mr. Geo. Ludlow, Proton
station, Grey county. At 6.30 p. m.
amid the strains of the wedding march,
which was played by Mrs (Rev.) B. B.
Smith, the bridgroom entered the par -
Tor followed by the bride who was . at-
tended by her niece, Miss Amanda
Hicks, and supported by her father,
The wedding ceremony was performed
in the liresence of a number of friends
by the Rev. B. B. Smith under a taste-
fully constructed arch of pines decor-
ated with roses. The charming bride
was beautifully attired in an exquisite
gown of cream nun's cloth trimmed
with taffeta silk ribbon and pearls.
The bride's attendant graced the occa-
sion in a dainty white muelin. After'
the ceremony all sat down to an excel-
lent repast succeeded by an evening �f
music and social converse which will
live lcng in the memory of the guests.
Many delicate and costly presents
marked the esteem in which the young
people are held, e extend to Mr
and Mrs Ludlow our heartiest con-
gratulations and sincerest well wishes
for their future happiness.

Rundle accompanied Mr Jewitt and

has visited this church and it is under-
stood that all in the vicinity will em-

sion Fund" ; his sermon on "Thanks-
giving" was exceedingly strong ; he
