MONDAY`. .
Gen. Bailer reports that portions of
his forces north of the Tugela River;
were engaged all day Saturday and
Sunday and'captured several of the
enemy's positions. The only details to
band regarding British losses ahow
that ten officers and 279 men were
wounded in the fighting on Saturday
and that one officer died from wounds.
The report that Col. Plumer ie advanc-
ing from Fort Tu1i, Rhodesia, to the
relief of Mafeking,.ie now confirmed.
There is no new of importance ,from
any other quarter of the field. .
THE RAID MEDALS. ----On Friday last;

obverse bears the relief figure of Her

leaves and over it the word • "Canada.
The edge bears the inscription of the
holder, his rank, and No. r.f • regiment
and the bar bears the -word.; "Fenian
Raid, 1866."
