Wold was received here last week at the death of the wife of the late W. O. Coldwell, which took place at the residence of her daughter, Mrs (Dr,) Farncomb, of Newcastle. It will be rememberec1. that at the sudden death of Mr Cold - well some three months ago Mrs Cold - well disposed of her property here, and went to live with her daughter at New- castle. But Providence willed she was not to enjoy this home long. Her husband predeceased her by just three months. Thus two are taken from our midst who were old residents and high- ly respected in every sense of the word. She was buried at Newcastle beside her husband. Much sympathy is felt here for (he sorrowing family, as they are indeed 'passing through deep waters.
