of the more energetic citizens got a

responded to the invitation, not-
withstanding the inclemency of the
weather.
The program was divided into
two parts, the first part being a
concert with Miss McCaughey at the
piano as accompanist, The "Maple

encore being followed by "Rule

in his usual style the pieces,

so." This was followed with a duet
by Messrs. fiord and Shaefer, "Alice
where art thou," Nr, Hord gave
in magnificent style "fly dream of
We Heavenly shore," followed by it
representation of a little girl sing-
ing "Street Rosa O'Grady," and
Miss Jones, high contralto, "In the
gloaming." Mr. Hord's laughtahle
farce of the bashful boy reciting
Mary's Little Lamb and the old
lady at the religious meeting
brought down the house. John E.
Moore gave in his usual style, "I
will meet in the gloaming, Gene-
veive," and "When the convent
bells were ringing,"
Refreshments were served in
abundance followed by a ball in the
second part. Dancing was kept up
until three o'clock in the morning,
where grace and beauty of form
and step were displayed to satisfy
the most critical of admirers.
The thanks of all are due to F.
