Mr. J. J. McLaughla,n of the Base Line

Bros., sons of Mr. James Lindsay of

ship. Mr. McLaughlan's price was

Death cif Mr. Peter Dayrean.—It is

our sad duty this week to thronicle the
demise of Mr. Peter Hayman of the
third concession of Tuckersmitb,
which took place on the 28th Senteiro-
ber in his 70th year, ltte: Dayman Was
it native Of Devonshire, England. • He
left his native land while quite it among
man and bas been a resident of !rink-
erionith for forty-five years. • Deceased
was a man of, flee physical appear-
ance, modeet, umissuming,upright and
highly respected who knew hitn..
For about two years his health had
been failing, All that medical skill

leavee a widow, four sons and seven
daughters to mourn their loss. • The
furieral which took plate last Sabbath
to Ross' cemetery, Brucefield, was
very largely attended, testifying to
the esteem in which deceased was held
by friends and neighbors, and also to
their sympathy for the sorrowing and

accident to all three occupants took

John Johrtston with his two sisters
were driving into town. When a,boub
