address showed how it had taken hold
of the audience.
Dr. Ferguson of Hensall introduced
the subject "How the Pastor cats help
the Society," The speaker considered
that as the Society was a preparatory
school for the training of Christian
workers and the salvation of precious
souls hence a feeder to the church, the
pastor should shovr his appreciation by
being in attendance at every meeting,
as far as possible and encourage in every
Way he could 'those* who were taking
part in the tneetinge of the Society.
VVhile he did not approve of the pastor
being depended and imposed upon by
the Society, yet he believed it essential
for the pastor to hold the reinel as it
were, and by conferring often with the

. President Pridham called the after:.
noon session to order by :Raking Rev.
Mr. McDonald qf Varna to lead in the
devotional exeroiees, following which
was an 'address by W. C. Myers of
Clinton on "Lifter and Loaners." The
speaker said that in all ages God had
depended upon, man as His aggresive
agents. ' They were the medium
through which tbe power of God. was
made manifest. As disciples of Christ
we should endeavor by precept and ex-
ample to lift others up that they might
catch a glimpse of the glory of God
revealed unto us through His word and
by His Holy Spirit. Too many of our
members are satisfied withaLooking lap",
but from want of exercise and Spiritual
strength are not able to lift up others.
Tho wad Endeavor implies effort and
we bre not worthy of the title if
we are not exercising ourselves in the
cause of Christ and the Church. In
order to have strength for lifting pur-
poses WA must feed upon the Word of
Ciock inrin- 6 ,z-tgr acoumulate this
strength we must praotioe.ite teaehings.
As Endergsvorera we are told ttot.."Ir

win draw all men unto Himself." Those
who enjoy their religion most are those
who have most of the Love of God in
their hearts. Their lights shine out

"Christ the Endeavorer's Model" was
the subject of an earnest and practical
address by Miss Mary E. Morris of God-.
erieh, Only those who heard thie ex-
cellent address can fully appreciate the
good things said. Every eentence 0011 -
tamed something inspired and proved
that our lives will be governed largely by
the ideal we have before us. As En-
deavorers no other thought should 004
copy our minds than that of imitating
Christ our model. We, as Ile, should
not forget ourselves in our endeavor to
help a fellow creature, and like the
words of our motto we by looking up
