The grass is very nutritious and cattle and sheep thrive upon it. Manitoulin .hutter will yet he consider- ed about the best in the market. The farmers do not as a rule • fatten their wade, having found it so far to• pay better to sellthern as stockers at two years old for which there is an increas- ing demand in theadder • counties of Ontario. Stock can be raised cheaply up there -owing to the large amount of unoccupied land upon which the cattle roam all ourninerand require no atten, lion.
