11th and 22nd ofJune,or any day which
shitll be convenient. The Premier pro-
poses to go to the country on his win-

GROSS FRAUD.
How to Avoid Deception and Loss.
Some dealers in Canada buy package
dves that, are so poor and waak that it
requires fully threat packages to give
the depth of color that is obtained
front one single package of the
Diamond Dyes. These weak dyes,
worth fruit four to live cents, are sold
to consorters at ten cents perpackage,
saute price as the full strength Diamond
Dyes.
Any woman who is urged by a dealer
to hay these radulteritted itnd weak
dyes should refuse at once to be swind-
led. Such dyes are only a source of
profit to the rnerchitnt who happens to
sell theni; they are certainly snares
,laid decept ions to the woman who bays
theta. Loss, trouble and fraud can he
avdided by asking for the Diamond
Dyes. Examine eack package, and be
sure you see the nate " Diamond."
Working with the " Diamond," yon
are sere of good, fast, brilliant and
lasting colors.
NEARLY KILLED A IIiiRONITE.
Quite, a sensation was created in
Berlin, Saturday afternoon when it
was reported that Mr, Abel WillFFper,
proprietor of the well-known Walper
house, and who is a prominent citizen,
was ,lying as the result of it blow he
received at; the hands Daniel Williams'
.on Thursday. Williams has the nian-
itgement of Mr. Walper's livery stables,
with offices under the Opera house.
Mr. Walper had taken exception to
the conduct of Williams lately, and
had frequently protested, with seem-
ingly very little effect. Williams,
white nantrally it good fellow and re-
pectably connected, hits been getting
into disreputable company, Mr. Wol-
per claimed. Oil Thursday the two
got into as dispute in the livery office,
which became very heated. Mr. Wal -
per, it is said, flourished his cane
threateningly, Williams was afraid
the old. gentleman would strike hire,
raft, grabbing the heavy weapon, he
dealt Mr. Wialper it resounding blow
over the head, causing a cut which
extended down over his forehead and
eye. Someone who had been itttriact-
ed by the noise then stepped in and
held Mr. Williams, while Mr. Walper•,
who had fall,rn to the floor, was raised
into it chair, Dr. Arnott was quickly
nn the scene, and put it number of
stitches in the cut, and then Mr.
Wolper, was taken to his home. Mr.
Williams was at once discharged. Dr.
Arnott says that while Mr. Walper's
injuries rare dangerous they will not
likeely prove fatal unless other things
'set, in, as the patient is quite an old
man. Mr, Williams says he struck
only in self defence. He will; not likely
be prosecuted.
