The change will be in the curriculum of the schools, and branches hitherto un- taught will be introduced into the schools of the province. The change will be in the form of the practical. In country schools agriculture will be taught, not the smattering of aaricul- tui e which is imparted in an indifferent way as an optional subject, as it is at present, qut a thorough, scientific course in technical agriculture. In city schools more technical work will be taken -up. In fact, an amount of thorough mechanical education is to be supplied. For some time .Hon. G. W. Ross has been contemplating this innovation. His numerous visits to the various schools in the Unitbd States had this object in view. Mr Ross, we are told, was sell pleased with his observations, and will inaug- urate a thorough change almost im- mediately. SIGN OF STRENGTH.
