from their business agent, 150 deaf
mute electrical workers employed to
the Automatic ,Electric Company's
plant have begun the fleet deaf mute
strike on record. Tho plant, employ-
ing about 1,000 persons, was closed
down.
The mutes are skilled workmen,
member( of the Telephone and
Switchboard Caton. They were pail
the union wages, but joined the brass
workers, metal workerN, poliakers
and buffers and platers In a demand
for shorter hours.
