WHICH ROAD ?
\Vho are you going to follow in this
campaign, the men that are willing to
give their money an get out and
work for the general growth and pros-
perity of the city, or those who will
neither give their money nor work ?
Which class is going to do the most
for the city ? Which class is most
unselfish ?
Are you being influenced by some
man who really wants to see this great
movement fail simply because he docs
not want to invest $25 a year in the
future of his own home city ?
It is time that the people of Goderich
be 'cataloged. We should know those
that are willing to put their shoulders
to the wheel, and those who are willing
to profit from the growth of the city
but won't help to pay the price.
Goderich today stands at the fork of
the road. One road leads to honest
effort with the possibilities of reward
in the shape of increased growth and,
prosperity for the city. The other road
leads to Lethargy and decline. Before
this campaign is over you must make
your choice as to which road you want
the city to follow.
CO-OPERATION
In the dark ages of ignorance, com-
petition was thought to be the life of
the trade. In the bright, clear light of
modern intelligence, it is seen that co-
operation is the thing on which busi-
ness grows fat and prospers.
THE DOING TWINS
Organization and efficiency are the
twin forces which make for business
success today. They are the two forces
which make for effiectiveness in the
commercial organization which is the
factor in the upbuildrng of the progres-
sive city.
•
REAL SELFISHNESS
Community effort is the most en-
lightened and intelligent form of sel-
fishness. Work in behalf of the com-
munity brings the big reward to the
individual as well as to the whole group
of individuals.
THE ONLY WAY
Without co-operation, without team
work, a city can accomplish nothing.
The men of a city must stand together

GREATER GODERICH, MAY io,
as an organized force if that city is
to _o forward and b- somebody in the
family of cities.
TOGETHER
if i;oplerich is to go forward and take
its rightful place among the cities of
Canada its business and professional
men must ail 1,0 united and working to-
,etltc. to the common end.
THERE'S A REASON
Cities do not "just grow." They are
etcher what their united forward -think-
ing citizens make them or they are
that negative nothingness which is al-
ways associated with helpless drifting.
NO PROGRESS THEN
When the organized effort of its citi-
zenship, expressed through a modern
commercial organization, is lacking, a
city does not progress.
