Every Patron voted in opposition to
this righteous resolution. giving to the
municipal bodies the right to fix salar-
iee of officials and to apply fees receiv-
ed in excess thereof to reduce the bur-
dens of t•txat,un. Another evidence of
the leaders of the Patrons workigg in
the interest of the Mowat Government.
'1.'lle rag of a reason or miser/stile ex-
cusegiven by Patrons Inc thus swallow-
ing their priuc•i )ales is that they were
out sent to Parliament to crake or un-
make Goverewents without first giving
them a chance of remedying the evils

portunity of redressing these wrongs?
Did they do it? NO I
What action did the Patrons take?
Noire whatever except voting against
the reasonable resolutions herein quot-
ed, each of which was so obviously in
the interest of the people.
The falsity of this excuse is proved
by their votes on the following reso-
lutions :—Page 137 Votes and Proceed-
ings 1895, Mr. Little (Consevative)
Moved :
"That this House is of the opinion
that the monies voted for Colonization
Roads in districts where municipal
government exists, should, so far as
practicable, and under such inspection
as may be necessary to ensure the ap-
plication of such moneys so voted, he
expended by the municipal authori-
ties."
For this motion these Patrons voted :
Dynes, Garrey, McDonald, Kidd, Mc-
Laren and Shore. Against the motion
these Patrons voted : Bennett, ()avert,
Curry, McNaughton, Leader Haycock,
McNeill, McNichol and Pardo.
Also notice the following motion
Vproposed by Mr. Matter, page 43,
otes and Proceedings 1895:
"That in the opinion of this House it
is advisable and would be in the inter-
est of the Province that supplies that
may be required for the Public Institu-
tions of the Province should be sup-
plied by public competition in lieu of
the course +11 present carried out."
The following Patrons voted for this
resolution : Dynes, Gainey, Haycock,
Kidd, McDonald, McLaren, Pardo and
Shore. These Patrous recorded their
votes against: Bennett, Caven, Mc-
Naughton, McNeill, McNichol and Mc-

ed :

interests of the farriers, voted the fol-
lowing: Patrons Bennett, Caven, Cur-

Conservative Patrons are not going to
be deceived by such Grit artifices.
The following is the ()pIinion ota pro-

the largest dealers in butter in Canada :
"If it had nut been for what the

everybody connected with it would
have been discouraged, but now our

In view of the above what do the
Conservative Patrons think of such
contemptuous Grit tactics to deceive

A REf 1ARKABLE CASE.
Rheumatism of 20 years' standing
radically cured by Scott's
Sarsaparilla.
Mrs. Sarah Browning, an estimable
resident of the Ambitious City, was for
twenty years a sufferer from acute rheu-
matism, and her restoration to health is
so remarkable that we present the case
for the benefit of our readers, many of
whom are doubtless sufferers from this
painful complaint which arises from blood
poison. Mrs. Browning says : " 1 used
only one bottle of Scott's Sarsaparilla and
received such benefit that 1 continued
taking only at intervals for two months.
That is seven months ago, and the pain
has not returned. I had spent a fortune
in various " treatments " and was told by
one medical man that a cure was im-
possible as I had suffered so long."
Scott's Sarsaparilla cures by making
and keeping the blood pure. It increases
flesh by digesting Mesh -forming foods.
It is the most successful medicine in the
world to -day, for dyspepsia, nervous
troubles, rheumatism, sciatica, syphilitic
afflictions, piirrples and all diseases
originating in a fcul condition of the
blood. Dose from one half to one tea-

The result of the North Ontario and
Cardwell elections would appear to por-

is due to the fact that it had not the
