going to Manitoba this year, if he can
arrangge his business so as to get away
for a`few months. Wm. Mason, jr., is
home from Michigan, and expects to
remain all summer. Lance F. Nethery,
has -gone to work for Wm. Grigg, as
the fellow says. Joshua Pearen has
secured a situation in Mouutcaastle's
mill, near Seaforth. Mr and Mrs Geo.
Watt, jr., of Hullett, were visiting
• friends here in the beginning of this
. week. A large stick of square _pine
was made -on the farm of James Van -
camp last week, which measured three
feet square at the stump end, the tree
being over 75 • feet in length; beat this
who can. We hear that Henry Bran-
don has purchased that part of lot 42,
on the 9th con., formerly owned by
Donald Robertson. •
