A Mr. Gordon Waldron as figured prominently in conventions of the United Farmers' Association. A Mr. Gordon Waldron is solicitor for the same organize -1 tion. A M. Gordon Waldron has sold a , newspaper of which he has long been edi tor to his fellow members_ of the U. F. <.), A Mr. Gordon Waldron was a Laurierite candidate in the last Federal general elec- tion, and a Liberal candidate in a former Provincial election. A Mr. Gordon Wal- dron took a prominent part in last week's convention of the Toronto and York Lib- eral Association, moving at least one re -1 solution and calling upon the delegates to assail Conservatives and Unionists where - ever found. Are these several Gordon Waldrons the game man ? If so, what do the farmers of Ontario think of his many-sided activ- itles? How • can he be at once an able city lawyer and a horny -handed tiller of the soil? How is it that he is simultan- eously a leader amongst the Laurierite Liberals and a director of the U. F. () t Is it not clear that he and his Laurierite mends who dominate the United Farmers of Ontario are merely engaged in a brazen attempt to lure Conservative and Union- ist farmers into the re-actionary anti -pub - 1 i c ownership, anti -prohibition party, which for half a generation has been dom- inated by Quebec? If the farmers of Ontario stop to think they will resent t h e most patent o f schemes to take them into the discredited Opposition camp. --Toronto News.
