He went through several engagements and won the Military Cross in October last at the battle of Cambrai. Turnberry BoyWelcomed On Tuesdayevening, a large number of the friends and neighbors gathered at the home of Mr. J. T. Wylie, sixth concession of Turnberry to welcome home his son Pte. I'Ioward Wylie, on his return from overseas. After some time had been spent in games and social chat those present were called to order and an address of welcome was real by Mr. Edgar Higgins and a purse,of money presented Pte, Wylie by Mr. Lloyd Henning. Pte, Wylie replied thanking the people for their kindness and expressing his great pleasure at being home again. After this a sumptuous lunch was serv- ed and the rest of the evening spent in dancing. Pte. Wylie enlisted with the 217 Batt. Alberta, and has spent many months in France.
