• DEATH.-1VIr Jos: Crich, of town,
who has been an invalid for some time,
passed away on Tuesday, at the age of
77 years and 8 months. Deceased was
a native of Nottinghamshire, and came
to this country 57 years ago, with his
parents, six brothers, and 2 . sisters,
only three of whom remain. He was
of a very quiet, retiringdisposition,
but nevertheless a man of good, hon-
est qualities. He was a tailor by trade
and found employment with the late
Richard Thwaites, who at that time
resided en the Huron road; after he
had saved a little money he took up
land cin the 2nd con. of .Tuckersrnith,
where he continued to reside until
about eleven years ago, when he mov-
ed into Clinton and took up his resi-
dence with his sister Mrs . Thomas.
Me leaves one son, George, who re -
;Aides on the old homestead. Mr Crich
has been a sufferer from diabetes for
some time. He was for many years a
member of Turner's church, Tucker -
smith, but latterly made Rattenbury
St. church his spiritual home. He
never took ' any part in public affairs
further than to cast in his support with
the Liberal party.
