MONTREAL LIVE STOCK MARKETS
The scarp advance in prices which took place
in the Liverpool cattle market last Monday
evidently was not intended to be maintained,
as our cable advices were weaker and noted a
deoline of io per lb, quoting tops at 10ic as
against llo last week. In export cattle busi•
ncss yyhas been quiet and values rule about
month of Julyvamounted to $817,425 as against
$1,242,600 in the month of June, which shows.a
decrease of $4255175. There were about 450
head of butchers cattle,125 calves and 850
sheep and lambs offered t the east end abat-
toir. Trade was rather dull, with no improve-
ment in prices, excepting for calves and ship-
ping sheep. A few large steers and oxen were
bought by some shippers at from 34 to 3fc per
at' a few of the 34 to 3ic per b bestbutchers'
pretty Rod stoowere sold
at
34e; common cows and rough steers, at 24c and
the leaner beasts at 2o per lb. A lot of fine
rough steers, woighing 4,650 lbs, were sold at
$23 each ora trifle lees than 24o per ib. Calves
were in fetter demand. Common calves sold
at $2.50 to $5 each. Shippers are paying 34c
per Ib for good large sheep; the others bring
from $2.25 to $4.25 each. hood lambs sell in
lots at 3c per Ib. Tat hogs are not plentiful,
and bring higher prices -5c per lb.
IRON BLOOD PILLS
Don't confuse these with the common Iron Pills. They are a direct food
for the blood. These pills will change the pale and sallow complexion
of debility into the ruddy glow of health.
Put up in round wood boxes with red label. 25c per box or five boxes for $1.
