THE GREAT. SALE. OF
UNDERSTAND THE WHOLE CASE. •
A. Rolfe, of 202 Dundas St , London, had the reputation among the buying public of
that city of handling the best and most fashionable goods in the. trade. The princi-
pal lines of goods he carried were Fine Dress Goods, Dress Trimmings, Mantles,
Silks, Linens, Hosiery and Gloves, of these he had a magnificent assortment. An
unusually quiet winter's trade torced him to make an assignment and the stock was
bought by us at 60c on the $.
We could have put the goods in stock and got regular prices for them but our orders
p
for spiing goods had been placed and they were on the way to us before this stock
was on the market, thus making it impossible .to cancer, therefore because we have
not- room: for this stock and our own :we are selling the Rolfe stock at and below what
it cost to put the goods in his store
The stock is not old, as llir Rolfe had only been in the business a short time, in fact most of it is new.
