"I would consider it a favor if you wotild allow me to add my testimonials to the many hundreds you no doubt have in praise of the wonderful cures effected by your Dodd's Kidney Pills. "I have been a great sufferer from kid- ney trouble and sciatica for the last 15 years, and paid out hundreds of dollars for treatment, but to no effect. Seeing your pills advertised I thought it was a fake to catch the poor unfortunate, and took no particular notice of it. But when I saw the testimonial of Dr Rose, a well known physician of good standing and whose repu tation I am well acquainted witu, I inquir- ed of my druggist if there were any in our vicinity who had been cured by them. He named over several remarkable cures in Kingston and amongst others a lady whom I knew. I consulted her husband and he verified the statement. 1 at once procured six boxes which I found gave me relief I had not felt for years, I took six more boxes and I am no :v able to kiok the bat off a man's head with the leg I could hardly drag along, and my back feels as strong as a board. I would consider I was doing wrong to you and the public if I were not to allow my name to appear in testimony of the worth of Dodd's Kidney Pills, and further, I will be happy to answer any one who wishes to write me with regard to the above. Mr dames Fitzgerald, a prosperous and respected merchant of Victoria Road, a pretty little village in Victoria, County, has for years suffered from the effects of a peculiar aeoident which happened him while ina lumber damp. To a reporter of the Lindsay Post Mr Fitzgerald said that when a boy in his teens he had a strong de- sire to spend a season in a lumber Damp, and prevailed upon his parents to let him join a party of young men who were leav- ing for the woods fifty miles distant. It proved, for him, an unfortunare trip. One day while he was binding on a load of logs, the binding, pole broke and he received a heavy blow on the elbow of the right arm. As there was no surgeon within fifty miles of the camp he was attended to bt the best means his fellow -workmen could pro- vide. After a few" days, thinking he was all right, he went out to want again. The exertion proved too much, for in a short time the:pain returned, and continued to get worse every day, until at last Mr Fitzgerald alas forced to return home, where he got ,HQW DEATH FEELS. But why should so heavy a weight be placed upon my breast? I looked down to see what it was, but I suffered no pain. It was the rest that must come after so long and exhaustive a fight. I attempted to raise my hand and couldn't. I couldn't raise even a finger. This was strange, but not alarming. What was that I heard? The doctor had said that I could lc et but a few moments longer. That was nonsense. I would show him. How quiet were my nerves, and I had been so nervous! What a relief. The heaviness was gone, but I couldn't move. "Why had they put out the light? What was that? Someone said: "Pull down the shade; the sun is shining in my face. Sun shining in my face! Wily, the sun has gone down hours ago. Oh, how the hu- man family persisted in "lying! What was that drop? They had taken the pillow from under my head. What was that faint sound away offyonder? A. voice that said: 'How be must suffer!' Suffer. I wasn't suffering at all. But I couldn't remain much longer in this condition. And I mused that if 1 could nuly tueu over I would go to sleep. 1 couldn't move, though, and I lay there thinking. "Suddenly I thought: 'This is death. Why didn't I think of it before? When did I begin dying? Oh, it must have been years ago! Who , I have been dying all my life.' Well, "I was glad it was all over, Then I mused: 'i -wonder if I am dead now. How am Ito know when I am dead? i wilt -put it all aside'. I will sleep.' "The next thing I knew was a feeling of thirst, and that was when I asked those, carvers for a drink of water. This, however, did not relieve him, as the pain had become chronic, and by this time affected his whble arm, and partially the right side of hie" body. He thus Buffered for years; unable to get any relief, his arm becoming withered and paralyzed, and he .'as forced to give up his farm and try sight commercial pursuits, and abandoned all hope of ever having the arm restored to usefulness. In the fall of 1892 he was in- duced to give Dr. Williams' Pink Pills a trial. Mr Fitzgerald's first order was for half -a -:cozen boxes, and before these were gone he began to experience the bene- ficial eff. cts. The pain from which he had suffered for so many years began to les -- sen. • He procured another supply, and from that out the improvement was con- stant and rapid, and he not only recovered the use of his arm, but is enjoying as good bodily health as he did before the accident, seventeen years ago. Mr Fitzgerald feels that the cure is thorough and permanent, and as a natural consequence is very warm in his praise of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, which have been the means of benefitting many others in his neighborhood, who had seen what they bad done in Mr Fitzgerald's case. For cases of partial paralysis, loco- moter ataxia, and all nerve troubles, I),r. Williams' Pink Pills are the only certain cure. They act directly upon the blood and nerves, thus striking at the root of the trouble, and restoring the system to its wonted vigor. A wedding which occurred a short time ago in Cincinnati, or at one of her beautiful suburbs, wails the making of a good story, Theroom, was a nice young fellow of good habits, am- bitious, etc., but poor: Financially, the bride was in the same boat. Such a match created much gossip, hut: no one had any special interest beyond the two directly concerned. A gentle- man who knew them both wished to make them a trifling present., He was limited in ptirse also, but a jeweller helped him out. "Why not give them a souvenir spoon?' said a jeweller. We have lots of pretty designs, Some with Shak- espeareanmottoes are very suitable. All right said the purchaser, "put one up in a nice little box for me." It was done and the gentleman sent the present, conscious of a pleasant duty well done. Now the funny part, of it was in the quotation. When the bride was looking over her presents, and they were numerous, though not extravagant in cost, she examined the spoon. "Why, Harry," she exclaimed, "what an odd present from Mr C. It's a Shakspearean souvenir spoon, with the quotation 'What fools these mor- tals be.' I don't think that's very nice, do you ?" "No," said Harry, "but, as he has been married twenty years, maybe he knows more about it than we do." The giver of the gift gave the jewel- er fits for his ill-advised selection.
