thing he had ever witnessed in all his

particular line.

Joseph's (R. C,) Church, on behalf
of the congregation, presented hirer
with a valuable and 'handsome hall
rack and an
address as an acknowledg-

worded reply. The following address

congregation, desire to express our
warm and heartfelt appreciation of
yTofind the
ir tluable services lone who has been blessed with
talent, willing to use that gift for the
interest and welfare of Gods children,
is ever pleasing.; and it is especially so
on this occasion, for we roust consider
that in rendering us your many acts of
kindness, you leave, for own chosen spiritual field etolenter an-
other.
While it is to us extreme pleas-
ure to hear your deep, rich voice swell
in proclaiming the divine praises, it is
also. a source of consolation to think
that, though we differ in faith, ?et
there exists between you and us a feel-
ing of good will and harmony, whirl,
should be the characteristic e. '111
Christian society. The exp i,ed posi-
tion in which you ar>, -placed in our
estimation, is duel in 'it great measure,
