A gentleman who has, visited the principal cities of the United States and Canada was in town last Friday and he declared that the grand display of meats and poultry • hythe Clinton butcher's surpassed any- thing he had ever witnessed in all his travels. Clinton's butchers have given • the town great fame abroad in their particular line. MASONIC OFFICERS.—Clinton Lodge No. 81, A. F. and A. M., is prospering. The Indy had been doing some shopping and lost her pocket book between Wheatley & Finch's butcher shop and the Com- mercial hotel. The purse was morocco. with clasp. In it were some '$5 bills and two 50 cent pieces. It is to be hoped that the finder will return the Looney to the owner. Mrs. Whitely will reward the finder.
